Mindful Monday: Praisesong for the Liver

On this Mindful Monday I’m thinking about my liver, an organ that does the thankless job of detoxifying my body every day. Without a whimper or a complaint, no matter what I put into my body the liver goes to work on clearing any toxins out of my system so that I can remain healthy and free of disease, or at least it tries. During the holiday season the liver often goes into hyper drive as we eat and drink to much rich foods and drink with limited rest and a whole lot more stress.

Praise the liver for all the work it must do to keep us healthy. What a reliable organ it is. But maybe we can truly thank this sister-friend to endocrine system for all its hard work by drinking a glass of water with lemon first thing in the morning (a great liver toner), eating lots of healthy protein and fiber through out the day, and if you’re really feeling thankful why not add a little vitamin B to your diet which can be found in nuts and legumes. Your liver will thank you by keeping you healthy into the New Year.

The Launch of She LEADS Radio

Tomorrow afternoon at 12pm EST I will be launching my radio show.  You can tune  or download the show online. Woohoo!!

The idea for She LEADS began about four years ago when I began learning video production and editing. I wanted to create my own multimedia website that featured video content from women media makers Globally. I had a big idea but very limited resources and so She Leads Media.TV was put on hold indefinitely. She Leads Media did become the home to much of my video work over the years By Crystal Clarityincluding a short promotional video created for the young women’s leadership org, We Got Issues! and a series of videos featuring women artists (which sadly were lost along with my LaCie external drive, during a move).  It will mostly likely be the home of my upcoming short film, Baby Wonder and all future film and video projects but now I’ve discovered an affordable means to reconnect She Leads Media back to its original intentions, to serve as a platform for women creating social change. So please join me for the Launch of She Leads Radio. Tell a friend, Tweet about, Share it on Facebook and email me to share ideas for future shows.

Let the new SHE LEADS adventure begin!!!
